with Rob Senderoff, Kent State Head Coach;
2017 MAC Tournament Champions;
2015 MAC Regular Season and East Division Champions

Coach Rob Senderoff delivers a detailed presentation on everyday drills that you can implement into your program this season. Coach Senderoff focuses on drills that will maximize your practice time, while developing your players' fundamental techniques. All of his exercises build upon each other as he moves through multiple facets of the game.

Closeout and Passing Drills

Senderoff provides a plethora of closeout drills that are built to be repped at 90 seconds apiece. These drills encompass various situations that you can use as opponent prep. They include two hand closeouts, corner 3-pointer closeouts, closeouts to dig in and out of the post, and ball screen closeouts while tagging the roll player.

The next set of everyday drills emphasize quality passing. Each drill has a different focus, including Coach Senderoff's favorite: the Extra Pass drill. It covers driving and kicking, extra passes, and offensive rebounding. Senderoff adds more skill work with Z Passing, which focuses on full court passing vs. the press, 30 Second Perfect Passing, and Continuous Post Passing.

Rebounding and Transition Drills

Each rebounding drill builds effective fundamentals to pin opposing players in order to create proper space to obtain each rebound. Senderoff adds various rebounding drills with 1v1 and 2v2 situations. All of these drills will build your players' rebounding technique offensively and defensively.

For transition work, Coach Senderoff begins with a dummy offense set into transition defense with his 7 Second Transition drill and gradually builds up to live transition drills. During the first dummy segment, Senderoff breaks down his defensive transition and buzzwords to build an effective transition.

4-on-4 Half Court

Senderoff ends his daily drill presentation with one of his favorite drills: 4v4 Triangle. This drill will emphasize and reduce your opponents' percentage of strong side corner 3-pointers. Your defenders will fine tune their stunts, help defense, and on-ball defense to prevent opponents from reaching the paint.

This video does a fantastic job showing you how to connect all of your daily drills, and allow them to build upon each other. Coach Senderoff shows how to build your players' fundamentals and develop high level techniques that will allow them to rise above the competition!
