led team to consecutive MAC regular season championships
CBSSports.com recognized him as the top assistant coach in the MAC in 2010, the same year that The Hoop Scoop rated him as one of the top 50 Mid-Major Assistants in the country.
As an assistant coach for the past 15 years, Rob Senderoff's assignment has been working with and developing post players. Over that time, Coach Senderoff has developed a progressive system for developing well-rounded post skills for any offensive system. With over 14 drills and variations, you will come away with challenging workout that builds your post players confidence and moves in the post.
Easy to use and fun to do, many of these drills incorporate multiple sensory tasks (eg, tennis balls) that enable development of the hands and feet. With over 14 drills and variations, you will come away with a challenging workout that builds your post players' confidence and moves in the post.
Coach Senderoff will build a complete post player from the ground up starting with your post player's ability to handle the basketball in the post and pivot to create space in the post for a scoring opportunity. He uses everyday equipment to make post players work harder around the rim making their normal motion in a game much easier and fluid. With each drill your players will learn to develop an aggressive mentality around the rim that includes finishing off of two feet, ripping strong to the rim, and chinning the ball before creating a scoring opportunity.
The hook shot is one of the fundamental shots that Coach Senderoff stresses as it allows the offensive player a chance to protect the ball from the defender. After the initial warm up series of hook shots, Coach then teaches the players how to counter off of this simple move. He continually stresses that post players don't need a ton of moves, they simply need a few moves to counter the basic hook shot. Coach Senderoff then teaches the players a few simple counters that will be effective in almost any situation.
In coach's complete Chair Drill Series, your post players will gain the confidence they need to be successful finishing around the rim against any opponent. Coach will teach your post players a go to move and a counter move with and without a dribble. This will make you post players an unstoppable presence against any defender.
In the Duke Series, your post players will gain another level of scoring in the post develop when they face up and look to attack the rim using jabs, bump fakes, rip throughs, and footwork around the rim. Coach does an excellent job making the complete post player for any level of coach.
Whether it is the fundamental warm up routine or the in depth look at key aspects to being successful in the post, Coach Senderoff will fill your plate with drills and knowledge. If your players are willing to work hard and train with an open mind set, they will develop the necessary skills to make them an unstoppable force in the paint.
